June 2018 meeting notes.
I have big shoes to fill… taking over the blog updates from
Laurie. Here goes:
Divas show dates are: 10/29 Monday drop off 2 to 4 pm. Show
opens 10/30 and runs through 11/10/18. The reception will be Sunday 11/4 from 2 to
4 pm. We hope to have a small guest show along with our show and perhaps a
speaker at the reception. Linda V will do the promotional postcard and flyer;
hopefully Linda K will again help with PR. The Challenge for the show is themed Adventure. See past blogs for details.
Send Linda V snapshots of quilts you think might be a
candidate for the postcard art by July 8. A more professional photo may be taken
of the one(s) selected.
Some Divas have gone to the National Parks Quilt Exposition
and applaud the shows at 4 local venues. Visit
ReconnectWithNature.org for details. Hurry, the show ends July 3. The
show book is a winner too.
There’s a SAQA show at the Bloomingdale Park District worth
seeing.
Naperville Art League is accepting new members. Fee is $50
for an individual. Members can display art in the Gallery each month plus
get other benefits.
Next Divas meeting is 7/23. Happy 4th of July!
